Excavation & Reinstatement of Road Collapse

This site had suffered from collapsed ground 3.5m across the road and to the full width of the footway.

Project Overview

Site investigations confirmed void pockets within the adjoining ground. Affected area approx. 9mx9m with depth 3m. 243 Cubic metres in total.

The affected area was excavated and reinstated in two layers. Each layer included for a layer of terram, consolidated type 1 MOT and steel road mesh set in linchairs, 200mm concrete and followed by 150mm of consolidated type 1.

Ground works were followed by a reinstatement of paths, driveways, road and fencing on completion.
