To operate efficiently, Wyatt Carruthers Jebb Ltd must collect and use information about people with whom it works. These usually include tenants of the client; and current, past, and prospective clients, employees and clients.

This privacy policy sets out how we collect, use and protect your personal information and your rights in relation to your information. Wyatt Carruthers Jebb Ltd determines the purposes and the manner in which personal data is processed.

 

2. The Information We Collect

Most of the work we do is carried out under instruction from commercial clients. We do however carry out work on domestic properties via Housing Associations and Local Authorities and we also accept commissions from time to time from private individuals.

It may be necessary for us to contact those individuals (Data Subjects) from time to time to enable works such as investigations, repairs, and other building works to properties to be undertaken expediently.

When working with you we may need to know your name, postal address, email address and telephone number. We believe that unless there are extenuating circumstances the information that we would gather from you would be limited to just that noted above.

We may collect information from you in various ways:

  • Through our website in the form of cookies (see below and our cookie policy)
  • When you contact us in person, over the telephone, by email, or by post.
  • When you make an enquiry.
  • When you apply for our services.
  • When you use our services.

All of our phone calls are recorded for training and monitoring purposes. This information is held for no longer than two years.

We do not wish to collect any personal information from children without their parents’ consent. Any information collected regarding a person under 16 years of age must be given with the express consent from a legal parent or guardian before supplying any information.

 

4. How will we use your information

All personal data collected is used only for Legitimate Business Activities. You will not receive any telephone calls letters or Emails from us marketing to market our services or seek any business other than that which is connected to the project for which the personal data was gathered.

The relevant information will be used by us, our agents, contractors and sub-contractors to communicate with you on matters relating to the conduct of our business.

From time to time we may wish to contact you for your feedback and comments on our services.

We will use the information held about you for the purposes for which it was provided to us as stated at the point of collection (or as may be obvious in the context of collection). Your personal data will be used by us in the following ways:

You have a right to access the personal data we hold about you. You may ask us to rectify or erase the personal data we hold about you or restrict the processing we carry out. Where appropriate under Data Protection Legislation, you may have your personal information erased, rectified, amended or completed as specified below:

  • Withdraw consent: you have the right to withdraw your consent to any particular use of your data.
  • Information: you have the right to be informed of the use to which your personal data is put.
  • Restriction: under certain circumstances specified by Data Protection Legislation, you have the right to request us to restrict the processing of your personal data, or we may restrict the processing of your data.

Requests must be made in writing. Please provide your name and address, and brief details of the information of which you would like a copy or which you would like to be corrected.
