Demolition of a Multi-Storey Car Park in Dartford, Kent

Wyatt Carruthers Jebb were appointed to design and procure the demolition of a multi-storey car park and the construction of a new surface car park in Dartford Town Centre.

The multi storey car park was of lift slab construction and the demolition process needed careful design and control to avoid progressive collapse. The new car park design included the design of drainage, electrical services, lighting and CCTV.

It was important to the client that the works were completed prior to December in order to provide parking space and revenue during the Christmas period.

Following the success of this project, Wyatt Carruthers Jebb have been appointed as consultants for the demolition of a department store in Dartford Town Centre including façade retention and the construction of a further surface car park.
